Reefkeeping the easy way

DyMiCo is the next generation filter for marine aquaria.

Our ecological filtration system recycles all waste in the aquarium, operating like a real coral reef.

  1. No water changes
  2. Plankton saving
  3. Energy efficient
  4. Robust technology
No water changes
DyMiCo efficiently removes waste products such as ammonia, ammonium, nitrite, nitrate and phosphate.
No additives
DyMiCo also releases calcium, magnesium, bicarbonate and trace elements to ensure vigorous coral growth and attractive coloration.
Suitable for most aquaria
Two versions are available, with a capacity of 700 and 2000 liters of system volume. A model for 3000 liter volume is in development.
DyMiCo supports a natural food web
In contrast to conventional technologies such as protein skimmers, DyMiCo does not filter the water heavily, allowing for a natural plankton population to grow. This plankton includes bacteria, algae (phytoplankton) and crustaceans (zooplankton), and lies at the basis of a healthy coral reef.
No wasted food
Instead of feeding your filter, DyMiCo allows to you to feed that which matters: the animals living in your aquarium.
An explosion of life
Watch filter feeder animals such as sponges, tunicates, bryozoans, polychaetes and corals thrive. Your aquarium will be highly biodiverse, just like a real coral reef.
Low energy usage
Your system uses less energy than conventional Berlin systems.
Less water usage
As no water changes are required, water usage is greatly reduced.
Constant monitoring of ORP and pH
To ensure your DyMiCo filter operates safely and effectively, the Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP) and pH level of the sand bed are constantly monitored and adjusted when needed. By pumping variable amounts of water through the filter, and manipulating carbon dosing, the system automatically optimizes biochemical conditions for waste removal.
Dutch and German quality
IKS and Tunze components power your DyMiCo system. High grade Dutch PVC ensures the filter does not break or leak easily.
Resistant to power failures
Power interruptions of an entire day do not disrupt the system. After power is restored, the system restarts automatically.
